This page explains, in plain terms, what we collect when you visit aipodcastfactory.com, join the waitlist or ask us to make episodes for you, what we use it for, and how to have it removed. If anything here is unclear, email hello@aipodcastfactory.com.

Who runs this

AI Podcast Factory is a product in development, built and run by its founder alone. Where this page says "we", that is one person, reachable at hello@aipodcastfactory.com.

If you join the waitlist

• Your email address. We use it to send the link that confirms the email is yours. When early access opens we'll use it to send your invite — that isn't built yet, so today the confirmation is the only email the waitlist sends. If you tell us in the questions that you'd try the product or pay for a pilot, we may also email you about that. We don't send a newsletter, and we don't sell or share your email address.
• Where you came from. The campaign tags on the link you followed (if any), the page that referred you, and the page you landed on. This tells us which places send people who actually want the product.
• A scrambled form of your connection's IP address. We keep a one-way hash of it, never the IP address itself, and use it only to stop one connection signing up large numbers of email addresses. The hash stays on the row for as long as the row does.

If you never open the confirmation link, your email isn't counted as a signup and we won't email it again unless you ask us to resend the link. The unconfirmed entry stays in the table until you ask us to remove it — we don't delete it automatically.

The optional questions after you sign up

After joining you can answer a few questions: which best describes you, what you spend on video today, how many episodes you'd want, how ready you are, four prices, and what your first episode would be. All of them are optional, and you can stop at any point. We also record how long you spent on them, so we can set aside answers that were clicked through without being read.

Why we ask: to decide what the product should cost and who to build it for first. The answers are stored with your email address, so that if you tell us you'd try the product or pay for a pilot, we can email you about it.

If you ask us to make episodes for you

• What you tell us. Your email address, what the episodes would be about, and anything else you choose to add (what describes you, how many episodes, a note). We use it to reply with a plan and a price. Nothing is produced until you agree to it. If you ask from the end of the waitlist questions, your answers there about what describes you and how many episodes you'd want go with the request, so you aren't asked twice, and what you type as the topic is also kept as your answer to "what would your first episode be" on your waitlist row.
• One email to confirm we have it. We send you a short acknowledgement straight away, so you have a record and something to reply to. If you send another request while the first is still open, we add it to the first rather than starting again, and we don't send the acknowledgement a second time. Apart from that, the only email you get is our reply.
• Where you came from and a scrambled IP address, exactly as for the waitlist above, and for the same reasons.

Asking for episodes doesn't put you on the waitlist, and joining the waitlist doesn't count as a request. If you do both, we can see that the two came from the same email address.

How the page is used

• Anonymous page events. We record things like which buttons are pressed, whether the sample episode was played, and how far through the questions someone got. Each visit gets a random ID, which the page forgets as soon as it closes and which is stored alongside the events so we can count one visit as one journey. These events contain no email address and none of your answers, and nothing in them points to your signup. We keep them indefinitely, as counts.
• Visitor statistics. Our host, Vercel, counts page views, referring sites, countries and device types for us, without cookies.

Cookies: we don't set any, and nothing is stored in your browser. While the page is open, it remembers the email you typed and what you've already done with it, so you aren't asked twice. Reloading or closing the page forgets it.

Your email isn't saved until you choose. Typing it and pressing "Get started" doesn't save it — that happens when you join the waitlist or send a request. The press itself is recorded as one of the anonymous events above, with no email in it.

Who handles the data for us

• Supabase stores the waitlist, requests and page events, in London.
• Resend delivers our emails, from Ireland.
• Vercel hosts the site and provides the visitor statistics. Like any web host, it processes your IP address to deliver the page. We strip the query string from every page address reported to it, so a confirmation link never leaves the page.

The share buttons on the last screen of the questions are ordinary links to X and LinkedIn. We don't send anything about you to either; following one takes you to their site, under their terms.

Seeing, changing or removing your data

Email hello@aipodcastfactory.com from the email you used, and we'll send you what we hold, correct it, or delete it — including your survey answers and any request. We keep waitlist data until you ask us to remove it or we close the waitlist, and a request until you ask us to remove it.

If what we collect changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change goes live.
